Biography

Barrett was born 1983, in the Corpus Christi neighborhood of Hillcrest. As an only child to a single mother, living in a full house with grandparents, uncles, aunts, and his great grandfather he learned early on what it means to "make things work" by observing everyone do what they could to better the family's living situation. A few years later, an uncle got drafted to the NFL and the family moved to North side Houston, TX in Greenspoint.

In 5th grade, the biggest blow of his life hit Barrett. Coming home after school, he found out his mother was gone due to suicide. Forced to be stronger, he vowed to never quit no matter how challenging life gets, and that he would make a way to be happy and healthy.

Barrett didn't start writing rhymes until his senior year in high school. His friend Slugga was always the aspiring rapper, and Barrett would eventually fell into the mix as a hobby.
It was in the service as a U.S. Marine deployment in Iraq when his love for music would brew and turn into a something he wanted to pursue seriously. Upon the end of his contract, Barrett enrolled into Full Sail Real World Education to get a more in depth understanding of music, sound, and the environment surrounding the industry. Earning a degree in Recording Arts, Barrett never let up on writing lyrics and began composing his own beats.

“If I could sum up my music in one word, it would be perseverance. Although the struggle can seem constant and there's so many temptations and obstacles, keep pushing for your goals."
Today, Barrett stands as an influential artist that strives to encourage others to explore and reach their potential. He's an advocate for a healthy lifestyle and is passionate about his pursuit of physical and mental health. Having many life lessons to remind him of the beauty of life, he pushes everyday to remain connected in hopes of motivating others.
